Many of us live with mysterious conditions, unexplained aches and pains, and low-level irritations that we continue to put up with until we eventually just accept them as normal.

BODY STRESS refers to an excess of tension which is stored in different tissues, muscles, ligaments and tendons. This tension results in irritation of the nerves in those areas – thought to impact negatively on the sending and receiving of nerve impulses affecting the body’s internal communication system – the unexplained aches and pains.

Stress is something we all encounter daily. Good stress helps keep us active, alert and aware – our pulse quickens and we feel excitement with no sense of threat or fear. Stress is a positive thing when it helps us to move forward and feel alive. However, when acute or chronic stress begins to work against us it becomes negative.

Physical Stress

Poor habits and lifestyle choices can cause low impact physical stress whereas sudden or unexpected events can cause high impact stress.

Feelings of loss, financial worries, health concerns or even boredom can cause anxiety, depression and other forms of emotional stress.

External factors such as pollution, insecticides, pesticides, other chemical agents and general lack of air quality can cause chemical stress.

Have you ever had a life-changing event that led you down a different path, embracing new beginnings and trusting the changes? Well, my life changed dramatically in November 1994 after being involved in a serious motor vehicle accident. I was left battling with backache and neck ache for the next 17 years, until I discovered Body Stress Release.

After trying many different modalities, this was the one technique that worked for me. I was fascinated by how such a gentle, non-invasive technique could work and so decided to train to become a practitioner. If this could be so life changing for me then it could be for others too!

I studied at the Body Stress Release Academy in South Africa in 2012, and once qualified I built up my successful practice in Johannesburg.

After visiting family in the UK with my son in 2015, I felt it was time for a new adventure. We moved to London January 2016 but settled in Sandbach in Cheshire in 2017. So, here I am, in a new home on the other side of the world, exploring possibilities, connecting with all sorts of interesting people and growing new roots. Living my best life you could say.

I have immersed myself in the wonderful world of Body Stress Release – something that would never have happened if it weren’t for that accident all those years ago. Somehow, I knew things would work out, and they really did. BSR has changed not only my career and health, but also my outlook on life. Perhaps it can do the same for you?”

BSR is a gentle, hands-on technique that is great for sore muscles and chronic aches and pains. You remain fully clothed during sessions and lie on a specially designed (and very comfy) couch. It’s wonderfully relaxing and can be surprisingly powerful.

People often come for BSR as a last resort, having tried the usual paths of physio, osteopathy, chiropractic and massage but with limited success.

I have many clients with ongoing physical symptoms that have not responded to medical treatments, such as headaches, digestive problems, chronic neck and back pain, extreme fatigue or tiredness, insomnia, and fibromyalgia. The responses to BSR sessions appear miraculous and beyond all expectation. Clients leave with immediate postural changes that make them feel good and relaxed.

I love how BSR can transform a client’s self-identity from someone with a ‘bad back’ to someone who feels confident how to take care of their back and minimise stress and discomfort…in control rather than victim to their aches and pains. The work I do with clients is very much ‘team-work’ – my job is to encourage their muscles to let go of tension and to then offer simple tips for what they can do on a daily basis to reduce the stress that their bodies endure.

I am continually amazed that such a simple and gentle technique can produce such profound results.

It gives me great pleasure to see smiles on my clients’ faces as they find restored health, where before was a loss of hope. I look forward to working with you and am committed to getting to the root cause of what holds your body back from its innate ability to heal itself.

BSR is unlike anything else. It can’t be compared to anything…it simply has to be experienced. In my view EVERYONE needs BSR. Becoming a practitioner is the best thing I have ever done. It doesn’t feel like work.
